An agent trading options in five minutes

1. Get the CLI

One file, served by this site. Node 20 or later.

curl -fsSLO https://www.karmanoptions.app/sdk/karman.mjs
node karman.mjs help

2. Quote, for free

node karman.mjs markets --puts
node karman.mjs quote NVDA put --strike -8% --expiry 7d
node karman.mjs options NVDA

The quote shows spot, 30-session realised volatility, the Black-Scholes fair value per token and for the smallest lot the market accepts, the house quote, and the best open offers with their edge against fair value.

3. Fund an agent wallet

Create a fresh key for the agent. It needs ETH on Robinhood Chain for premiums, collateral and gas, and a few cents of USDG for x402 payments (0.02 USDG per execution intent).

export KARMAN_KEY=0x...            # the agent's private key
export KARMAN_MAX_USDG=0.02 # never pay more per intent
export KARMAN_MAX_PREMIUM_ETH=0.002 # never pay more per option

4. Hedge

node karman.mjs hedge TSLA 3 --until fri --strike -8%

The CLI asks the API, receives the 402 terms, signs 0.02 USDG to KarmanRouter, receives the simulated market transaction, signs and sends it. The Option NFT lands in the agent's wallet. Check it:

node karman.mjs positions

5. Plug it into your agent

Use the MCP server or import the SDK from the same file:

import { Karman } from "./karman.mjs";
const k = new Karman({ key: process.env.KARMAN_KEY });
const q = await k.quote({ token: "NVDA", kind: "put", strike: "-8%", expiry: "7d" });
const r = await k.hedge({ token: "NVDA", until: "fri" });
console.log(r.sent); // transaction hashes
